yank Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 This may have been asked before but, could the devs make the kills and bombing missions be added to a players plane ? Like when you shoot down a enemy plane [fighter, bomber, etc, And do bombing missions and after the mission and get back to base, that they would be added to your plane or bomber. Am assuming that this can not be done as it would require a lot of work for the devs and maybe not feasible. Altho it would be a nice feature or option to have. Just a thought
Ram399 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 There might be a way to do it in career mode that the devs could figure out, but at least at the moment stuff like the aircraft ID markers are going to take precedence. However, if you're up for it you could always add the victory markers yourself the old fashioned way. I first started learning how to edit skin files just so I could add kill tabs for my career mode aircraft, and while that eventually snowballed into full on custom skins, victory markers are a pretty easy case of copy and paste most of the time. If you want to give it a shot I'd recommend watching this tutorial to start off:
yank Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 Thanks I will give it a go. I use to do repaints for the older IL2 game, MSFS2, FSX, so this would not be new to me. Although the way the painters do these skins for IL2Great Battles with all these alpha layers are a bit to much for me. Besides I onlt have MS Paint, Paint.net, I use it to do paints for American Truck Simulator. I will watch the video, thanks

You can also use Gimp (https://www.gimp.org/) as an image editor, it's completely free. GIMP is extremely powerful compared to MS Paint and Paint.net, and can do most of the things that Photoshop can. 1
