Iceni_Queen Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Hello Fellow Fliers Picked up an HP Reverb G2 (Was suggested as the best VR) Sadly, it will not work with Mixed Reality. It says no compatible with the drivers (tried the latest and 2 previous) Anyone get them to work on an 3000 series card?
SIA_Sp00k Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) I Have the best VR , (G2 HP Reverb). I also use Mixed reality flawlessly. Completely compatible and i'm using a 3080. Nvidea 471.12 drivers (latest and driver before) have no issues. Presumably you are using W10 yes? Should work out of the box. Post your specs. Do you mean the USB port by any chance? You are using a 3.0 usb port? Edited September 27, 2021 by TWC_Sp00k
SIA_Target Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) 1080 ti (lesser card than yours) here with the g2. Edited September 27, 2021 by TWC_Target
-332FG-Gordon200 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 @Iceni_Queen You can find the latest Nvidia driver for your graphics card here - https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx You will also need to download SteamVR and SteamVR for Windows Mixed Reality. https://store.steampowered.com/app/250820/SteamVR/ and https://store.steampowered.com/app/719950/Windows_Mixed_Reality_for_SteamVR/
Voyager Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Is your monitor a Display Port 1.4 compatible one? You may try opening up the Monitor's controls and seeing if you can cap it at DP1.2 or 120hz. Had an issue where mine would BSOD whenever I turned on the headset. EVGA tech support tracked it down to a non-compliant Display port cable letting a voltage on Pin 20. Was causing voltages across the card and causing really weird errors and BSOD's. However, once I set my main monitor to 120Hz cap, that fixed it. Note: this was in the monitor's build in menu, not the Windows 10 controls. Might be worth a try.
ProMace67 Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Did you figure it out yet? I'm running W10 with an RTX 3090 (upgraded from RTX 2080 in December) and no problems. Works out of the box. Not sure what drivers you're referring to, specifically for the headset there are none, so I assume you're referring to nVidia drivers. Also, as TWC_Sp00k mentioned, you must use a USB3.x port.
