Errors In Missions ?

Yep, it's me again. Seriously this is what is going on

 

I am getting eras on missing effects in these missions that I bought, Lighting Strikes,
Hell Hawks over the Bulge , and Wind and Fury. The effects missing are for

1, [Wind and Fury] effects/arm/hit.ap.12.23mm.water.epl,and [these have periods instead of _ on the error notice]

2.[Hell Hawks] effects/arm/hit.ap.12.23mm.armour.epl

 

I looked in the effects folder and found this [hit_ap_12-23mm_armour_new.efx], should this one have the[new] or can it be taken off

and be[hit_ap_12-23mm_armour_.efx] to work ? I believe these are the mew effects on update, hence new.

 

 

When I get the errors, the game it CTD, FUNNY THING, you can hear sound from the game, Wierd

 

What I have is, IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles and Bodenplatte. Shouldn't these effects
already be in the game ? Or do you have to buy the other DLCs and missions to get them,
if that is the case ..... that's sucks! I just do not understand why I am getting these errors !

 

Do I have to uninstall the game and reinstall it to get these effects back [if they are in game, they should be]
if so how do I do this. BTW, it is a steam version, downloaded it from steam.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of game files on Steam?

It has nothing to do with steam.

 

I´m not on Steam and got the same Error in "Lightning Strikes" The Game CTD with effects/arm/hit.ap.12.23mm.armour.epl

 

Seems like a serious bug in the Campaign(s) or the game itself

Sometimes i found that after a (major) update only a fresh game install fixes these unpleasant things.

Save your old game folder first to reinstall them over the new ones, or at least the input, campaign, swf and mission etc folders ... !

Yoar..I thought I could avoid that ?

First of all, delete ALL mods and try again. In 99% of cases that I encountered campaigns inoperability, the problem was in the installed mods. If you are absolutely sure that no mods are installed then write to support.

Verifying the integrity of game files has nothing to do with Steam either. It's just a convenient way of ensuring that all files are correct, without having to re-install the game.

 

If you're not on Steam, I recommend to first disable mods, and if that doesn't fix things, re-install the game.

Thanks AEthelraedUnraed ... disabled mods in game then started Hell Hawks over the Bulge and it played, no CTD

Well,I took the more radical way and reinstalled the whole game. ?

 

At least i have a fresh install now and everything works as it should.
