TrackIR 5 stopped working ?

Hi All, Just upgraded my computer and now my TrackIR 5 refuses too work, worked fine before both the game detection light and the motion light do not light up ?  tried connecting via all of the USB ports but still nothing. and a replacement is not cheap ! [400+ Australian ] I have only upgraded my m/board. cpu, and increased my memory from 8 to 16 Gig and a new case.

 

I would appreciate some info on something i may have not checked

Hi,

if I resume correctly, you just changed your MB, added some more RAM, but your hard drive is the same one, you used before, right?
 

First thing I would do, is to get rid of your old (current) TrackIR software. Maybe you want to save your profile before uninstalling the
software. Then, download the "newest" TrackIR software and reinstall it. This might solve your problem.

TrackIR now working correctly, I noticed that the TrackIR screen was showing " Device Unknown "    so got Windows to update the driver and now the screen displays the device , so did not have to uninstall.       Cheers.

it seems like you did not update your New motherboard chip set drivers.

Most have a specific USB drivers included.
