Lost/Missing .EXE file

This has been re-occurring recently, several times the last couple months.  
I start my comp and the file is gone, was there yesterday...  I made a shortcut to the sim to bypass the launcher and the shortcut is gone too!
I made a copy of the .exe file but the game or my comp won't 'allow' me to place it in the bin/game folder. 

Of course this is really frustrating, I have to completely re-install each time this occurs.  I'm getting good at it, I have an IL-2 recovery folder with all my input/startup file/skins etc. that makes it easier to get back up, but...
Anyone else with this problem, do you need to see a dump file or anything to help me?

Darn. This is disturbing.

 

Have you run any anti-virus and or anti-malware software to check your system out? Most unusual. Are you on Steam. If you are, I'm afraid I can't help you.

 

What directory do you have your game files in? Program Files or Program Files (x86)? You might want to consider moving them. I have mine in Program Files (x86) and have had no such problems.

 

I hope you find a solution.

I've run all my AV stuff as I thought that would find something.  It didn't

I am not on steam.

I do have the program installed here: C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles

This just began a couple months ago...ran fine for years.

Since I DO need a re-install now, I might try and put it in a different folder and see how long it'll go...
I've included a screenie of the note I get when I try and run the sim.

I have mine in Program Files(x86\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\

 

I don't use the IC Game Studios directory. I don't know if that would make and difference.
