Regards Hey Spit_, look at that same thread, some posts above yours there are a few from myself with different suggestions that may work (have worked for many people, bit each case is slightly different). Try those independently and see of it works. But take a look below for a more condensed answer. Usually the game not launching at all (like the logos showing and than going back to desktop) means the installation has been corrupted. For example, you could try to repair your installation from Steam. If that doesn‘t work, try deleting the whole 1C Softclub/Cliffs of Dover folder under Documents (save your .ini files first). For some people it works again when they completely reinstall the game (again, save your ini files sou you don‘t have to rebind and reconfigure info windows and loadouts). Make sure you have proper access to the folder mentioned above (Documents/1C SoftClub etc.). The game stores everything used to run there -only its core is in the Steam folder under Programs/Steam etc.- so if during an update or installation the game couldn‘t install / change files, it will lead to it not working properly. It could be down to user credentials (the user you are logged in with, no administrator rights or even controlled folder access from Windows itself (for the latter, check my post about Controlled Folders in that thread). There you could try setting compatibility to Win7 if none of the above work, but this is something that usually solves the game crashing when hitting fly. The same applies to disabling overlays (Nvidia and Steam usually). These and more suggestions and thing to watch out for can be found in the Getting started and Troubleshooting Guide in the main game folder. Maybe you can also find some interesting things there that help. And disable SteamCloud for the game, by the way. It can cause problems with your config (replacing them with default ones that may make your hame crash pr bindings being deleted).
Spit_ Posted September 26, 2021 Author Posted September 26, 2021 Cheers complete reinstall seems to work thanks again
