There is an FPS counter in the upper right corner of the screen.  There are 2 values.  What are they?  The top number looks like my monitor's refresh rate.  But sometimes it drops lower than the refresh rate.  The lower number is usually a smaller number than the top number, but not always.  Sometimes it's greater in value than the top number.

Could someone please explain how these FPS numbers work and what they represent?

Thanks!

number on first line = FPS

number on second line = FOV

lol...thanks!

I missed that second line by a country mile!  Thought is was somehow tied to FPS.

Is there a lua file somewhere that we can change the color of the readout from green to white?.  It's hard to read in the "other" sim and I read a post and changed it from the invisible green to white and I can see it perfectly.  The IL2 is also that weak green and hard to read, would like to change it to white too.

Thanks

How the heck do you turn off the FPS display? I thought it was backspace, but that doesn't seem to work. Thx

Try opening the startup.cfg file under graphics and change:

fps_counter = 1 (change to =0)

This I believe is default off and your backspace should work.
