Feathered_IV Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Hi Team Fusion. Over the last ten years I have been looking forward to eventually using cliffs of dover the same way that I have been enjoying all other sims from EAW to FS2020. Namely by having the stick beneath the desk with the right hand, and operating throttle and keyboard above it with the left. It's comfortable and convenient, and works with every other game that I have used. Cliffs of Dover is different however and does not support the mousewheel at all. I have asked if this could be implemented a number of times over the years and have been variously replied to by Mysticpuma, Buzzsaw and most recently by Cybermat that they would check it out. However nothing ever came of it and I heard nothing more. Perhaps this time I can try and put it another way... If the team is unable to say whether they can enable the mouse for mapping to the throttle controls: can they please share what the difficulty is? I find myself continually frustrated by this every time I use the game, but would probably be a lot more understanding about this shortcoming if I knew why.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted September 17, 2021 Team Fusion Posted September 17, 2021 Hello Feathered... we will look at whether or not we can implement the use of the mouse wheel... however, the issue is that it may affect the players ability to use the mouse to click and control elements in the cockpit... one of the features which is important to many players. 1
Feathered_IV Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 Buzzsaw thanks! I would appreciate you having a look. It would be a massive boost to the ergonomics or the game. Thanks too for letting me know the why. I’m very grateful for your reply.
