IL-2 and Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS

The set up works on all levels of response (all buttons and levers) except the joystick Y and X axis for the plane and  along with the throttle axis can not be inverted regardless if I change the ID in the INPUT folder or click the invert tab along side the Plane Axis command (no TARGET software in use here). They are recognized according to the correct ID but that's where it ends.  It only ever registers the wrong axis because it can't be inverted correctly even if I erase the Input File and load my profile scheme again. The Hotas works fine with COD and DCS with the same USB powered ports. I've read older posts with similar problems.
