Freezing in transition from Moscow to Stalingrad Career

I was doing a Moscow career and about halfway through I got the option to skip to the end of Moscow since the unit I was in was withdrawing. I was ready to go on to Stalingrad so I said yes, but then the game froze on the end movie for Moscow (It was either that one or the one that plays at the start of the last phase of Moscow because it started with a canon then froze right after). I reloaded the game again and it froze one more time at the movie. But now every time I try to load the save it just freezes without showing the movie.

 

Does anyone know of a fix for this? I have seen multiple posts from 2018/2019 with this issue but they said it was supposed to be fixed in a patch around that time. It's a little annoying losing a pilot after 20+ hours of flying on realistic pace lol

I’m also doing a Battle of Moscow career, so I’ll eventually be able to confirm if this issue is still present. It ends in April 1942, doesn’t it? Found a fairly recent post on r/il2sturmovik saying this too. But there were no comments there.

 

Keep in mind I’m still in late November 1941, so it’ll probably take some months before I can get it done.
