baevans Posted September 7, 2021 Author Posted September 7, 2021 (edited) I think it keeps trying - running up the number - but each download packet fails and nothing actually downloads. It identifies the packets to be downloaded but for some reason can’t. That’s my non-expert interpretation of the errors in the “last download” text note in the update folder. I can’t play until I get the 8/18 update. This needs to be fixed before another patch/update comes out and then no one can play. I could be wrong of course…. Note that server is online for 72 hours per week only, from Friday to Monday (Moscow time). Please, make sure that you’re trying to login within the marked period.

Can we only play IL-2 Great Battles Friday thru Sun (72 hours each week)?

Edit: I've just checked, and the FAQ here says that the game can only be updated during those hours, but it is almost certainly incorrect - the FAQ dates from 2013 when the game was being beta-tested, and I'm almost certain this no longer applies. I agree with you, I also believe that this is not true, it would be very rare, but the truth is that there are many of us who can not update or download the game and there is no solution or at least I can not find it :c
