I get this email:

IL-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus - Volume I is part of the IL-2 Great Battles series of products and can be played as a separate stand-alone product or be integrated with other Great Battles

 

But Steam says that I need the base game IL-2:BOS to play FC.

 

So which one is correct?

 

Do I still need to buy IL-2 BOS in order to play FC ?

If you are using Steam as a launcher, you need BoS. If you are using 1cgs' launcher you can use any expansion as your base game

These are Steam rules unfortunately, they won’t budge for us. Some kind of technical limitation on their end.
