Hello! I haven't been able to find a similar topic so here it goes - is there a plan in the future to improve the engine sounds? They all sound linear and don't really have any "kick" to it; Cheers!

I agree to what you say to some extent. There is a big difference when you are the pilot inside the cockpit and outside admiring a flyby.

The sound inside the cockpit is okay for me. Where the sound is less "characteristic" of engine/props/plane combination is when you hear the sound of a flyby, and in that case the sim could do much better.

Now you have also to consider your setup. If I compare between the sound from two loudspeakers and a high-end noise canceling headphone (of those that cover completely your ears) optically connected to my motherboard's sound digital output, it's day and night.  So if you want to have the best sound possible out of what this sim can give you know what to do. For the rest wait and see when the overloaded devs planning may give them some "free" time to improve this.

Personally I think they should improve the flyby sounds so it also gives you goosebumps whenever it flies over while as a tanker.

The Ju52 is one plane in the game that sounds amazing when it flies over you.

I rarely use my speakers due to the fact that I can't really use my HT device that way, hence the headphones. Can't say those are the best, or Hi-Fi for that matter, but I reckon that the Hyperx Cloud/Alpha are good enough to deliver a good quality sound (compared to AKG studio headphones, connected to DAC, that are at least 3x the cost of the aforementioned).

I understand that this isn't one of the major issues (if it's an issue at all, the sound still works), nor subject to dedicate the dev's time to at the moment, but it would be nice to have some sound improvement in the future.

Cheers.
