Gazooka6 Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 I'm pretty new to this, and I started playing today and my aiming reticle is below my line of sight. I have been messing with my settings, and I must have dropped my camera or pilot head somewhere along the way, and I cannot get my aiming reticle for my machine guns back. I can see the top crest of the aiming circle but that is it. Uhg, This is hard enough.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 (edited) Track IR or no? Keys for moving pilot head position are Insert, Home, Delete, End, Pg Up and Pg Down. F10 to save when you are happy with it. Mouse also moves the head position so be careful not to touch it while you are adjusting. If you have Track IR, exit game, turn off Track IR, re-enter game, adjust pilot head position, F10 to save, exit game again, turn Track IR back on, and enjoy. Gazooka6 Posted September 4, 2021 Author Posted September 4, 2021 Heck yea! Thank You I know now not to start hitting keys in a panic!
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 F10 will set your default head position. You won't have to adjust it again after that unless you want to modify what you have. I adjust all of the off center cockpits (mostly German) as they are centered on the gunsight as opposed to the windscreen. It's tedious but as a real pilot I can't sit off center. I just lean over a bit with TiR to center on the gunsight when I'm ready to engage.

You do not have to exit the sim and turn TIR5 off. Simply push F9 (default TIR5 on off toggle), make your view adjusts, once satified push F10 to save. Push F9 again and TIR 5 is ready to use.
