DN308 Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 (edited) I have an issue with "Object Undefined" resulting in constant windows appearing ingame (luascripts/Worldobjects/Explosions/Shell/He_85mm (air and grounds).txt). I suspect a mod installed so I removed all the mods and nothing. Windows still appear. So I suspect a file corrupted with the last update (4.603b) How is it possible to remove this update and come back to 4.602 and do the update again? Edited August 31, 2021 by DN308

Hoss Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 (edited) You can try deleting the files in the updates folder... in the "main" IL2 folder, but do not delete "Updater" folder in the Data folder. LOL I agree with CK, (don't get cocky) if you have this problem, I would save your skins folder, Input folder, and Missions folder delete and reinstall the game. A real pain in the tukus but it will fix problems you didn't know you had. I do it at least once a year, more if I screw something up. Crap.... jinxed it now... way to go CK! DN308 Posted September 1, 2021 Author Posted September 1, 2021 I use to be very relunctant in deleting and reinstall the game... mainly because I don’t know exactly how to do it right from steam. If I remove the game (saving all important parts), how to reinstall it from steam? Just launch it from steam and it would reinstall it automatically ?

DN308 Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 Ok, just removed the "Datas" folder and tried to lauch the game with Steam. The game has been reinstalled with the proper update, and I just had to reinstall the datas I wanted, avoiding any kind of mod. It works properly now. Thanks to all!
Hoss Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 (edited) Keeping the "data" folder is a bit much, but your problem I'm guessing was in one of the other files in the IL2 main folder... not sure what that could of been, the bin folder and Update folder are the only things left... LOL I think I would of only deleted the Update folder and relaunched the game and see if it did the auto update via the Launcher.exe. Putting back in the entire "data" folder could reintroduce the fault if the update/reinstall fixed your problem. Glad to hear everything is running full throttle. You are running MOD's, I'm guessing you use jsgme to install them correct?.. when you hit the IL2 Launcher.exe on our desktop and you see there is now a update available, use the jsgme to remove the mods from your install before you let it update. let it update and always, always restart your computer before you start to fiddle with it.
