well, first if its il2 as in planes use the other forum for it, you will get a lot more replys, but what sort of help do you need?

You must first have IL2 Battle of Sturmovik game, then you can purchase the add on through the website or via steam.

You wont see the tank game come up as a separate game on your steam library, but it will appear in the server list for multiplayer.  Finnish Dynamic Server is one server where tank players can roll around on the ground and pilots can do the real fighting above them.

 

As for single player Tanks, no idea, never done it. I only use tanks online. I imagine there are single player campaigns because players have made mods for them. Instead of going online, just like the aircraft side of the game, you should be able to choose them in the map screen where it lets you choose the units for both sides and formulate your own battle.
