Nonetheless its a beautiful show when nothing goes too wrong. It's amazing the stabilizing effect of the wheel's rotational movement on take-off. BTW, the same involved in bullets, cannon projectiles and missiles predictable trajectories. Seriously though, the spinning is what gyro stabilises the trajectory, simply clever piece of design, I bet a lot of trial and error went into the development of that
