Jarhead0331 Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Hi all…I’m a dedicated DCS VR pilot taking a break to get back into IL-2 after a long time away. I recently booted into IL-2 and was surprised to have unusually low FPS, somewhere between 25 and 35 on average. I’m running with a Pimax 8KX and below are my system specs. In the Pitool, resolution is 1.5 and FOV is Normal. Parallel Projection is off. Steam VR global SS is 100%. One problem I noticed is that on my monitor, the VR image is displayed for both eyes…this is different in DCS. Could this be holding FPS down? What about in game graphics? I don’t see any VR specific options. How should they be configured? Thanks so much! Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900X 3.7GHz 12-CoreMotherboard: MSI B550-A PRO - ATXMemory: G.SKILL Z Trident Total 64 GB Dual Channel MemoryGraphics Card:AMD Radeon™ RX 6900 XT, 16GB of dedicated GDDR6
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) Clouds have been changed. Try running High Preset, Clouds at High, and Shadows at High (none of these options on Ultra). I recommend fpsVR so you can dial in your system. The CPU should not be a bottleneck, I got the same. P.S. Nor the GPU, it's more a performance issue with the game in certain situations, especially at high resolutions. Edited August 29, 2021 by SCG_Fenris_Wolf
