Hi, I was wondering when TAW will be back. I just started playing IL-2 Sturmovik last Christmas and joined TAW pretty late and loved it. I've been waiting for the next season but i have grown kinda impatient. I can't wait to jump back in it once it's back.

There's a small group of people out there who only fly online when TAW is running. Isn't that right H?

I tried it as an alternative, but it's not equialent for a coulple of reasons that I noticed. *

 

1. I get really heavy lag on it where I never did on TAW. The TAW team avoided much eye candy to provide a smooth ride on most systems. This is why they used static targets for example.

 

2. Mission time is totally different.

 

3. Techno Hud is not available on TAW.

 

4. Plane set is not historic in the same way the TAW was.

 

* That's not to say it's not good or as good as TAW, it's just not the same enought to be seen as an equivelant.

You won't find the guys from the Taw here anymore. they have their own Discord channel where they can determine what is written and what is not. just don't forget to start with the sentence: "long live the Taw". whether there is any moreI don't know the campaign, but that doesn't matter either, the good old days are over, you are unfortunately 4 years late.

Difficult to say if the TAW will come back to its old glory, it all depends on the attitude of the developers towards the community. I have the feeling they want to go still with the “no communication” for a while, maybe the idea is to let the new TAW “speak for them”.
 

Personally, and I believe so also my teammates, we’ll join this upcoming western TAW and try to enjoy it with no prejudices, if the experience is good I’m even open to become a strong supporter if they come back to being reasonable, open the dialogue channels and discuss the feedbacks with clear mind. Am I dreaming? Let’s see..

And that is exactly the reason why I left that discord...

 

They (or someone there, because I can hardly imagine the entire squad was wanting that)

- retired from this board completely and moved to their own board (due to given possibility of administrating it???)

- deleted most/all of the 'citicising' postings without any comment

- closed the boards for postings where these postings have been made

- deleted most of these boards

 

And sorry, but NO!!!

If any group uses this policy I'll leave their board

And before I'll even thing about rejoining it

they have to show on a public board that they have changed their minds about how to behave with their clients

 

For me the 'last' TAW was 'my last taw' unless they change their communication with the clients.

I don't care about what they've tried to implement in that campaign

I also don't care about how the 'fun' has gone in that campaign

All these things could be changed (if they would listen)

and trying to implement something new is never easy...

 

But the way of communicating (or better NOT communicating) was and is a NO GO for me

How can we find news regarding Western TAW? I can't see any news on their website and can't find their discord. Has there been some announcement elsewhere?
