So i recently reinstalled il2 bos after system upgrade. Now i'm having trouble with keybinds.

For example, when trying to bind joystick pitch axis, only the -, or pitch down is recognized.

This occurs across all controls such as pitch, yaw, roll etc.

I have complete functionality according to windows devices. Buttons, axis , sliders etc.

I have tried deleting the devices txt file, checking local files through steam, reinstalling game, restarting system with/out flight controllers.

My ancient system had no issues with plug and play in this game. What am i missing, doing wrong? some help greatly appreciated.

Couple of questions first:

  1. Which stick/throttle are you using?
  2. Is it just your stick/throttles or is it your buttons and/or keyboard combos too?

Thanks for reply,

Joystick I'm currently using is the T16000M FCS. It's part of the thrustmaster Flight pack found here.

So far it's only the joystick and rudder pedals. Haven't tried button combos since i can't get past "step one."

Okay, the simplest possibility first (and sorry if this is pedantic): when registering the joystick in the game, the registration wants you to move the joystick to one end of the axis then move quickly to the other end of the axis. I've not seen this go wrong (not sure it can), but maybe.

Second, I would uninstall the T16000m software (TARGET I think) if you have installed that. It can cause problems.

Third, ensure your stick and pedals are connected to a powered USB port. If you have an unpowered hub, either try connecting the stick/pedals directly to the motherboard ports, or try using a powered hub.

If none of that works, I will try researching an answer.

I am familiar with how the game needs to register key mapping and binds.

The issue lies in exactly what you described, moving stick forward and back, only registers one way. Your supposed to get two variables, positive and negative. However i can only get one.

TARGET software has not been installed.

All usb ports are powered and connected firmly.

I have been flying around on war thunder flawlessly so in know my stuff works. At any rate, thx for reply.

someone close this topic, i believe issue is resolved regardless of key mapping protocols. I dont know how but it works.
