NoelGallagher Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 (edited) i would never know what the actual sound was like(while inside the cockpit) but since the pilot is located inside the cockpit i think the cannon sound should be more boomy and less harsh(high frequency sound) if there's a obstacles(cockpit windows) on the way then usually the high frequency information is lost so we can assume it should sound a bit more boomy i think cliffs of dover cannon sounds is more closer to what pilot might hear during the combet(plz don't say you can just go and paly CLOD you know where i'm coming from..) you know the sound is very vital aspects as much as visual in terms of immersion Edited August 28, 2021 by NoelGallagher
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 In a Plane you wear a Headset, this is designed to filter out as much of the Plane Noise as possible so you can hear shit in the Radio. Take Off the Headset and all you will hear is Ear shattering Noise for about 2 Minutes and then Silence, forever. But you will hear no Sound. When you Fire the Guns, they are not louder than the Engine and realistically you could barely hear them. Getting hit was similar. 1
Charlo-VRde Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 This ^^^ Gun sounds and damage are two of the best reasons to use a Buttkicker or similar, or better yet a JetPad, either one used with SimShaker Wings
