My hopes are small - I just want a few of the already existing user made cammo's loaded into the game.

I strongly recommend the latter when you need your armor fix. Lots of YouTube videos on it if you are interested (Videos by A guy named Double Vision are my favorites). 1

Right now, in game in non player for we have scout cars, BA10M, BA64,SDKFZ222, for TD's we have Marder, Stug 40L43, Stug37L24, Light Tanks T70,Panzer 38T, Other Panzer 3, Panzer 4F1, We have 4 barrel AA truck for German 20mm, 4 barrel AA truck for allies 50cal, All kinds of large Artillery and Anti-tank guns, we have several kinds of trucks, several Flak guns that canbe used dual purpose. Make trucks driveable, gun towable by a single player to deploy. These already have outside built just need to be made functional. Right now germans lack a larger caliber self propelled artillery piece, hummel etc New stuff is good but why not purpose some things we already have to be playable ? 1 4

Yes, missing in the game: 1/ reconnaissance units such as you point out 2/ Early war thanks and vehicles for Moscow map 3/ And of course AND URGENT, armoured vehicles and tanks for western Europe maps (Bodenplatte and future Normandy) 1

I am wondering though whether there will be a surprise in the way of infantry with the BON release. There was that hint dropped by Jason more than a year ago, and since then we have seen some pretty nice models of paratroopers, and landing craft. At any rate, I think BON is going to be a milestone for the IL2 franchise. 1

I expect they would have already announced that we are getting new drive-able vehicles if that was the case. They seem to be busy making more AI assets for the map, but there has been no news about player controlled vehicles since the AAA trucks. By the time they release BON, Tank Crew will probably be more than a couple years old, so if they are not ready to announce TC2, then maybe we will hear about some more collector vehicles.

At any rate, I think BON is going to be a milestone for the IL2 franchise. infantry is very plausible becasue battle of normandy is mostly remebered as the allied infantry hitting the beach with landing craft in peoples mind even if il-2 is about air battle i don't think they will ignore that

IF 1C was to say “Let’s fix all our issues before we add any further content.”; then it would take at least a year to accomplish that. Understand, for 1C, that’s a year without income……. Also, look at the issues we are having with the number of “objects” included in missions today. Add infantry and those mission problems expand exponentially. what I can hope for at best is the necessary functioning vehicles that let me “simulate” an infantry battle. However, I would rather the developers work on existing problems and develop missing AFVs that were used during Normandy, e.g. Stug III, jagpanther, cromwell, churchill, firefly, etc. Additionally, the ability to remove the "radar" function around spawn points is a huge issue. One look at the missions in Finnish and you can see where the enemy (tank & plane) are located. If the Devs can't include the option to remove, perhaps allow mission makers to greatly reduce the range of this "radar". The other main issue for tankers is still the overabundance of invisible objects that cause damage to the tanks.
