40plus Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Windows 10 Ryzen 3800x 32GB DDR4-3000 1080ti Game (Steam version) installed on a Western Digital Black M.2 ('tis mighty quick) I'm not sure how I could take a video of this so I'll describe it best I can. When the game enters a loading screen, the background freezes and rapidly flashes while the SteamVR IL-2 loading logo is displayed in the center. This persists until the scenario loads and the next UI screen comes up. It always loads fine and eventually stops so it's not critical but the rapid flashing is nauseating and I have close my eyes It never happened with my Vive but started immediately after switching to the Reverb G2. Is anybody else experiencing this? Cheers Paul
readyred1 Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Yes, the same here. When I switched from Rift S to Reverb G2. Unfortunately I didn't find a solution for it either.
firdimigdi Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Best thing you can do is to set SteamVR to fade out the game when it hangs like that, I forget what the setting is called. Then you can look to the side a bit or at the floor as the game loads and you see the default SteamVR environment while the game loads. At least that's the best compromise I've found.
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 It is same with Pimax, actualy it comes with one release of pimax driver, and goes away with next. I do not know why, maybe gpu utilitzation was changed from version to version. Also it is not always on loading game, like it is never on first loading, but later on changing map. I just close my eyes then.
firdimigdi Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 This is the SteamVR setting I mentioned earlier - if that is on then if you don't look straight ahead you won't see the flickering screen.
