Cockpit sound immersion

Recommended Posts

Hello pilots.. here to talk about if there is any mod or add for sound immersion in the cockpit, like higher VIBRATION sounds as you can hear at this video. Pay attention to that!

The movie is Dunkirk

As you can hear it has a really good sounds, I would like to hear something like that when playing IL-2 Sturmovik.

What you guys think?

You have to be careful using a movie as a source. The director may be be overdoing it to make you feel the scene and to make the planes feel like a bucket of bolts barely holding together sometimes.

Well is actually a good idea of immersion as I said... we can't feel it cuz we are on a PC... but making that sound a little bit higher it will make you do it

I put a bass transducer in my chair. I can certainly feel the planes as I fly them ?147332635_IMG_20210412_2119371292.thumb.jpg.4e5cddb16d37db11695165f279e72592.jpg

They dont like us tinker with the sounds. Some of the stock sounds are pretty good but protecting it like that in f-mod with no modding tools is a bummer for us. What about flyby sounds. Stock flyby are so dull and boring it is beyond understanding.

It's easy to understand why you'd want the same kind of sounds, as a movie you've enjoyed. That being said, planes are a bit like cars when it comes to rattles and vibrations. For example, I have a small collections of pens and my de-icer in my glove box, and on occasion, someone I give a ride to might say "What's rattling?" even though - despite horrendous Nottinghamshire road conditions -  I no longer hear it. On a plane like the Spitfire, one might have a slightly loose dial cover, or have a fair bit of play in the flap handle, or any number of things that can make a noise. That's why you have to be careful when modding sounds, as even though immersion is at the top of my 'must have' list, I wouldn't want everyone to have my pens rattling in their cockpits. I do love sound mods though, so if you find any good ones, please let us know. Cheers.
