AlexJacobs Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Hello, The title says it all: I know our Dutch neighbors have at least one fantastic group, but I was wondering if there was any historically-oriented RAF 349th or 350th Squadrons out there, specialized in flying Spitfires, Hawkers and Hurricanes like their original equivalent (Dutch-speaking, French-speaking or English-speaking is perfect for me). According to what I found, the Belgian contribution to the RAF was (unsurprisingly) not tremendous in terms of pilots, only 28 ... but it was still more important than South Africa (25) or France (13) for instance ? so I was wondering if the denizens of my tiny kingdom would also be represented in this friendly community Thanks!
No145_Bunny Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Hi Alex, Why dont you have a look at Tangmere Pilots, we are "centred" around 2 RAF squadrons, these are no1 and no601 (not the Belgian squadrons, I know). We also fly LW, USAAF and Russian aircraft in many historically correct campaigns. We have 28+ regular attendees on official Ops night which is Sunday 9pm UK time. If you want to experience RAF type operations / squadrons and camaraderie, Im sure we can offer you something. Get in touch. S! Bunster
