Linking IL-2 and Steam accounts

Hi all, I hope this is the right place.

I am unable to link my Steam and IL-2 accounts. My PW  and email are correct, and the same on both accounts, the message I get is ( # incorrect email or PW ). I see this is an historical issue with no resolution for some people. I am awaiting a reply from the support team, but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Doc. ?

Doc, the easiest (and only) way to resolve it is to send an email to support. They have been linking accounts for quite a while while now. They usually get back within a day or two.

Thanks, have done that, just waiting for reply. Just thought someone might have first hand experience.
