IL-2 STURMOVIK: GREAT BATTLES TO ATTEND FSEXPO 2021 in SAN DIEGO, CA SEPT. 24TH - 26TH

Hello Pilots,

 

IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles series will once again be an exhibitor at the FS Expo, this year being held (after a CVOID caused delay) in San Diego, CA at the Town and Country hotel September 24th - 26th, 2021. 

 

 

Due to the uncertainty of holding this event during the pandemic we will be having a scaled down booth from previous years, but we will once again be showing Sturmovik in all it's glory and allowing attendees to try their hands at flying our wonderful warbirds in combat and talking shop with those that stop by.

Even though we have a smaller presence this year, we will continue to support the FSExpo's mission of bringing our beloved hobby of flight-simming, especially COMBAT flight-simming to more and more people and building a larger and even more friendly community. 

 

If you want to attend the FS Expo you can learn more about it at https://www.flightsimexpo.com/. It's always a good time and interacting with the attendees and fellow Sturmovik fans has always been a blast. Past year's events have been great and I hope this year will be no different.

 

If you happen to be in CA, live near San Diego or have already made plans to attend please stop on by the booth and say hi.

I’d really like to attend this (I live in LA), especially if Yaw VR is able to get permission to attend, too, and demo their new Yaw2 I backed on Kickstarter. I’m one of several backers who have encouraged them to include a profile for IL-2 at launch. Yaw VR is having trouble getting approval to enter the US from their European base, and are asking for any help from anyone who might have useful US government or military connections.

 

It would be great to possibly meet in person some of the folk I know through ROF and Great Battles. Of course, the state of the pandemic and health of my family members at that time will determine if I go - but that’s the case for all of us now! ?

yeah, I don't think I'm going to be able to get a kitchen pass for this one.... San Diego is a very long drive from the San Joaquin valley (30mi SSW-Fresno) Almost worth it if they have the VR set up like they did before...

 

Good luck Jason, hope Rona doesn't rear her ugly head and spoil it again this year.... even if Newsom is recalled his pandemic plans will still be in effect.

Hi Jason, I would have been happy to go to this event but the journey from France is far too complicated for me. 

 

But I did advertise with a youtuber I subscribe to. He's a French expat in San Diego who tests a lot of tech stuff.

No it’s still happening, we just won’t be there. I’ll put on good display next year.

No IL-2 booth will be there. I have bigger fish to fry than the Expo.

My buddy @Ali_O and I will be at this Expo on Saturday. Our wives even made a family road-trip out of it since they haven't been down in San Diego in several years
