CurlyBilll Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Hello, I have a quick question: Normally when I play in 2d, non VR the external views can be zoomed with the mouse wheel. When I use my Oculus Quest 2 I can no longer move the camera in the external views using the mouse wheel. The only way to move the camera in the external views when in VR is with the E and D keys and it's problematic. I have a YT channel and wish to capture some game footage while in VR, how can I use the mouse wheel to move the camera in and out when inside of VR like normal? Do I have a keybind wrong? or is this something that is replaced by the 4 VR zoom commands in the external views? It's problematic for content creators who are using VR. I would like to use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out in external views like normal non VR gameplay does. Please help, thank you. 1
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Hi, the only solution is indeed the different zoom commands. You can alternate the speed of them zooming in in startup.cfg KEY = camera] cinematic = 1 head_smooth = 1.00000 hmd_restricted = 0 shake = 0 vr_zoom_speed = 1.00000 edit the highlighted line from 1.0 instant to 0.1 quite slow and keep what you prefer.
