GAZ-MM 72-K SD-Kfz 10/5

I now have both !  and which ever map is chosen it always seem to be in defense of some village or town, is there anyway that the guns can be used in defense of a road convoy, or are there any missions available for the above

I made the Gaz missions - 2 of those are airfield defense, 1 of the others takes place on a road and you approach a German held village.

 

The German missions are not mine so no idea about those.

And these GAZ missions are very well made, compliments.

The German flak missions are all from Haash, well made too, ...  i briefly tried one, but could not hit a single plane.

If anyone claims any kill i will not believe you ? !

the Polish soviet war map on the flugpark server has a variety of ways to use the gaz, we are stress testing Saturday and all flak truck drivers are welcome to attend.

so, after a few days, at $ 20, is this a good buy or not, this AA? the GAS didn't seem crazy-crazy ... it's efficient?

Comon.... its a half-track! And it looks beautiful. Just don't expect it to take on a Sherman tank.

So, 1 month after the release of the Sd.Kfz. 10/5, are there any players who are doing well with it?
Personally I'm bad, so if you have any advice, I'd love to hear it. Even looking at the tracers, I can't tell if my balls are going in front or behind the plane.

I'm reeeeeeeeeally bad.

My first victory on Finnish was a Yak, and he crashed so close to me that wounded my crew.

I guess it's a kind of "don't even try to shot me down again" stuff.

I can hit just slow and low planes that attack stuff pretty close to me, but this has two disadvantages:

1) I'm a target too, so usually my life end before I can hit something

2) slow and low Russian means IL2, and even if they it them they live enough to bring me back to point 1

I'm just learning to use the Sd.Kfz. 10/5.  It is a hoot to drive.  I can't hit anything worth while in the air with it yet.  But I sure shredded an ammo and fuel convoy.  ?

Javelina move your vertical target speed adjustment to about 110 mps for IL's and a little more for fighters.  This will help get your reticle on target better.  It's LAlt+ ./; - same as ranging your cannon.  Hope this helps....

i don't have gaz yet so idk about that 

 

but german flak truck is not worth 24$ full price 

missions are just worse than none

there's nothing much you can do in SP

 

but if you buy this on sale and use it on MP

it's pretty worth to try out 

you will not it anything at first 

but as you play more you will hit everything lol

i manage to take down 5 plane on finnish server yesterday

who were attacking panzer spawn

there were 8 plane and after i shoot down 5 rest of em ran away lol

if il-2 is coming towards you then aim the cockpit instead of the plane

it's a fuckin flying tank but flying tank won't fly without a pilot lol

adjusting the mils does help a bit.  but I'm still struggling with how to the site things in properly.  For the aircraft, I'm using the mechanical/optical one, which has that "ball" in the middle.  I managed to bring down a C-47, after it made a second pass.  It crashed about 100m in front of my crew. 

 

For aircraft, the only way to aim is to essentially follow your tracers?   With the ground targets, the telescopic site works just fine, and seems logical to use.

Any ideas why ingame SdKfz 10/5 hasn't correction system (like 72-k) and Flakvisier 35 (see bellow)?

On most photos of Flak 38 the gun equipped with Flakvisier 35, not Schwebevisier 38..

I don't like Schwebevisier 38 because -

1) It has not any range correction or reticle

2) It's central ball and hard reticle (circles) became huge and really hinders any aiming at max zoom

3) you have to remove guner's armor plate - otherwise circles don't fit viewing slot.
