VA_HudgeFudge Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Hello, as the title states, I'm looking for a good set of headphones for use with my VR headset (Rift S). I'm mainly using them in IL2 or DCS, so of course I'm looking around at odd angles quite often, and sometimes with quick and snappy head movements. The main issue I'm having right now is that my headset will tend to start falling off my head, usually off my head backwards when I'm looking up. My current headset is the Logitech G935. Overall not a bad headset, the issue stated above is due to the fact that I have to extend them almost all the way in order for me to fit it on, as it seems that the fully retracted position was designed to fit a child's head (in terms of length). However, this leads to the issue of them being too loose, so they tend to slide off. Also the other issue I have with them is that they are not too comfortable, and I find myself with a pressure headache on top of my head after 2-3 hours. I'm looking for something in the $150 price range, but am willing to spend a little bit more if needed. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'll gladly take any advice.
Jaws2002 Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 (edited) I have an audio-technika ATH-M50X right now. It's pretty good, but it's not a gaming headset. It doesn't have microphone. I think they make a gaming version of it now. Before this one I had the ATH-A700X and it was a bit better, both in sound and comfort, but it broke and I couldn't find one at the time. The ATH-M50X, I have now, has more solid hinges for the earcups, but have leather cushion for the cups and my ears are sweating a bit under them. Not as bad as some of the surround Gaming headsets I had before these, but compared to A700X it's noticeable. The extra pressure this new one puts on the ears keeps it in place more secure. My brother had a G935. It has excellent sound sound quality.
