my idea for the next campaigns after BON!

Hello,

Here are my ideas for one of the next campaigns!
 Battle space: Arctic Sea- Murmansk- Arkhangelsk, Northern Norway- Northern Finland, Fisher Island- Bear Island- Novaya, Zemlya.

A campaign could move in this area, which would give us the opportunity:
- Continuation of the war between the Soviet Union and Finland with new Polikarpov I-153/ I-152, Morane 406, Curtiss P-36 aircraft, everything else is available.
-Combat Germany-Soviet Union possibly additional aircraft, FW-200 (Ki controlled), fight for the Russian ports, the Murman Railway.....
- Convoy battles with Russian/ English/ American convoys including convoy carriers with: Seafire Mk.I and MK.II from the Spitfire V, Fairey Swordfish, Grumman Martlet, torpedo attacks with He-111 and Ju-88, fighter operations with Me 110......
Most of the aircraft needed for these missions are available or have to be adapted.
This would allow carrier operations on a smaller scale..... the escort carriers were not that big and did not have too many aircraft on board......
This would be a "testing ground" for the developers with a view to a possible later Pacific campaign with large carriers and large fleet units.
These are my ideas.... what do you say?????

I like the idea, there was some time ago a Murmansk map in build, not sure who by, sadly it fell by the wayside and has not been posted on for years.

 

Also, there is a Finnish map in work but that is for the Finnish Gulf side of that vast area, again, all has gone quiet, that group have not posted any updates for years as such although from what is read between the lines from those involved it is believed to still be a work in progress, top secret and all that, no one is saying anything.

 

My personal wish list would be some kind of Finland scenario next after Normandy, but the development team is struggling with the workload and a appademic so Jason has already stated it could be next year before any further plans are disclosed.

 

We all wait with bated breath for the next major announcements.

As much as I would buy such an expansion it is too much for the real connoisseurs, it's not going to sell big (even if the issue of lacking documents for Japanese planes is resolved).

I f**king hope not.  1C needs to get on this.  Only they can deliver a single player campaign that includes the eruption of Vesuvius in 44 (New smoke and cloud effects, am I right?).

When thnking what they could do next, first thing you need to set is what area map will depict, and size of map cant be to big. Then you need to fined 5 axis airplanes that are not in game and they can get data for them.

 

My bet is still on Battle of Poland 1945 as next ww2 DLC, Tank Crew 2 probably something on west front 44-45, i think Clod will do Tunisia 43 and Channel 43 for TF6, and collector airplane should be anounced, my guess is B-25C/D. 

Waiting for end of year for anouncments to see if i miss all again...

VR and TrueSky are coming to CLoD/Tobruk, as is another Med theater. GB (777) will not conflict with CoD/Tobruk (TF) as both are published by 1c. I suggest you try it out as it really is superior in a lot of ways (damage model, engine heat modeling, effects, lighting, soon to be clouds, performance, ai and ai command system, etc.) while not being as polished in terms of gui and accessibility.

And single player campaign?  How's that going?

Yes, lots of single player campaigns (about 8 added with Desert Wings) and a dynamic campaign generator coming. Seriously, check it out! Also, DCS is great too for certain scenarios like b-17 escort and the Channel Map is breathtaking. Lots of good stuff coming to all of the sims...slowly but surely ?

I'll hold my breath until the dynamic campaign is ready.  I've bought both modules (CLOD and Tobruck) , but I'm waiting until I can play a dynamic campaign to even begin to use them.  Not interested in flying multiplayer in our current social environment, or with my current setup.

I used to only fly SP then I got VR and dabbled in multiplayer and I'm hooked. There is nothing more satisfying that setting up and executing a kill online peer to peer.
