Way to hide Controllers through software?

Way to hide Controllers through software? so that IL2 only sees the 8 controllers i want it to

Another way to accomplish would be via hardware, ie a USB powered Hub with individual on/off switches for each port.

I use two of these myself.

yea I've done this, but its a PITA

Well I can say it is my preferred method, pretty simple to flip a switch on or off to me.
