Can recording cause stuttering?

In the last sp mission created in Pwmg I had a stuttering problem.  Stuttering appeared at the end of the mission while turning into base for landing.  I was alone with no wingmen and there was no hostile activity.  The stuttering lasted about 5 seconds, during which the frame rate went from 60 to about 30 and the CPU from 40% to 100% of resources occupied.  During the flight mission there were a total of 10 aircraft, but even during duels the simulator remained fluid at 60 fps.  During the landing phase I had activated the recorder but I don't think that could be the cause.  I reviewed the landing record and the video did not show stutter.  Could it have been an underlying process that polled the CPU?

Same problem here...slowdowns and stuttering when i record with lot of planes or ground objects...

I get a fairly large stutter every 30 seconds or so while recording in-game. It's pretty frustrating.
