Hi, recently my mixture controls and autolevel buttons stopped working and I have no idea why.

I have them set on my Warthog Throttle quadrand, the mixture is set to the China Hat and the engage autopilot (or autolevel, can't remember) to the AP Engage button.

What is curious about it is that I can have them recognized when setting up the controls, the game has no issue there, but when I'm in the airplane it doesn't work.

I have recently assigned several in game commands to my HOTAS in a way that basically every button has a function.

Is there any limit for assigned buttons for Il-2? I have no idea what is causing this.

By the way, the HOTAS is working just fine.

If you set the realism for flying missions such that these automatations are not available for play, you cannot use them despite them being mapped.

It is not a case of realism. It is set to full real. Thank you for your help.

Open your current.actions file and check to see if the HOTAS's device number is correct for the autolevelflight and rpc_all_engines_mixtures attribute.

I'm not sure what "full real" means, but if it means you get the most realism from the sim, then most (all?) single engine fighter planes would not have an autopilot/autoleveler option as they did not normally mount them at the time, only on level bombers IIRC.

I think it is called expert mode. And for the autolevel, I know it is a "game" thing, but if I press shift+A it works.

Depending on what difficulty you have set i.e. "Normal/Expert" if in expert, the A/P does not work, only the level stabilizer works.  For your Mixture, make sure you have the command as a "Hold" function and not a "Pulse" function. Do you have Mixture on a "Axis" slider? if so I think it negates the button presses Up/Down, INC/DEC...

Sometimes I lose functionality of buttons around new updates to the game, or some other off the wall reason.  Make sure you use the "Event Tester" function of the TARGET software, so you know what you think you are pressing is actually what you are pressing.  It saves time from going in game, and if it is doing what you want it to do just go in game and check it.

Cheers
