Black smoke from towns FPS drops.

I am having issues anytime I arrive to the centre of the mission and there are black smokes from cities. My frame rate drops to the floor. I am in VR and the weird thing is the frame rate meter from IL2 shows proper 90 fps but I have strong frame drop. I know I can setup smoke to 0 but the smoke is very cool. Does anybody has this problem because I can't find anybody with this the same problem.

 

I tried smoke to 1 and in mission to 1 too but as soon it appears in the distance my fps drops starts.

Any help would be grateful...

Mine's not quite that bad, but my FPS drops in half (60 to 30) when I get near smoke. Like you I turned the numbers down, and consider the FPS drop a way to make the smoke harder to fight through. I figure I have to live with it until I can finally nab a 3060 or 3070.

To reduce smoke:

<Campaign>->Configuration->Advanced Configuration->Mission Limits

 

reduce:

Maximum amount of smoke In area

Maximum amount of smoke In mission

 

You can reduce these to zero to eliminate smoke
