616Sqn_Johnny-Red Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 (edited) At 12:50am, 23/04/2019 (just short of 4 hours time), the BBC 4 will the broadcasting a rather informative documentary called "Cosmonauts". For people with access to UK TV programming and an interest in the history of space exploration; I strongly recommend this film, having seen it before myself. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04lcxms It remains for me to say, that the BBC aren't paying me for this endorsement Edited April 22, 2019 by Johnny-Red
seafireliv Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Has anyone noticed the USA rocket in the hanger in the game when you look at your aircraft? What`s that all about? 1
Rjel Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 The anniversary of the moon landing in 1969 I'd imagine.

AndyJWest Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 They landed on the 20th, at 20:17 UTC, Armstrong made his giant bootprint at 02:56 UTC on the 21st.

seafireliv Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) Ah... I should`ve realised. That said when I start this sim, i`m thinking in 1940s mode... ☺️ Edited July 20, 2019 by seafireliv 1

[FD]_5_Scarecrow Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 This reminded me of the day I logged into Rise of Flight to find an I-16 in my hangar. My first thought upon seeing the rocket was, "oh no, they're not giving up on IL-2 to make a space sim now are they?"

JG27*AD Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 My brother and I got up early in the morning to watch every Project Mercury, Project Gemini and Project Apollo launch. Somewhere I have snapshots I took of the television screen broadcasting the moon walks. What a wonderful time to be alive and witness those events!! Salute !! And thanks 1C! AD
Jaws2002 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) Do people still believe the moon landings? There are so many things wrong with that entire program. But most people are not even bothered to look at the free available information about the inconsistencies of the moon landings. Watch the documentary "what happened on the moon", to have a bit of an idea how many things don't make sense. https://www.aulis.com/moon_pt1.htm https://www.aulis.com/moon_pt2.htm Edited July 20, 2019 by Jaws2002 1 1

Jaws2002 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) You are right. That was uncalled for and i apologize. But nothing makes sense about that entire program. From photos, to videos, to rockets, to the complete lack of radiation shielding, to the transmission delay, the size of the lander module and it's hatch, to the jet flame that doesn't match up the actual specs of the fuel used. Everything is wrong! Everything. Edited July 20, 2019 by Jaws2002 1
AndyJWest Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I prefer Raaaid's line in insanity. More self-aware, and much more entertaining. 5
-LUCKY-ThanksSkeletor Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Wait, I was told the earth was flat, and that the moon was just a hologram. I don't know what to believe anymore! HagarTheHorrible Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 What's up with the rocket in the hanger ?
OrangeNoise Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 April 12th is the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight
Vortice Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 My father met him when he visited Manchester in 1961. Apparently he was a very short man, which could explain the size of the rocket.
Chief_Mouser Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Vostok 1. It's the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. 1
Angry_Kitten Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 yet they wont upgrade the P40 to soviet tweaking..... interesting 2

I find that interesting as this rocket in the hanger crap doesnt help the game at all. 2 1 1
