RAY-EU Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 (edited) 1st you have to had an actual rocket that should be capable like the futuristic programe called the ‘ SLS’ in this case like in 1969 the Saturn V capable for the missions Apollo to the moon of (6,540,000 kg or about 13,000,000 lb ) more or less , but relatively , according Wikipedia really should be about 3,000,000 kg or 6,000,000 lb of total mass . but how to go there if there if the rocket right now, while , does not exist nowadays ? but , technically , could be possible ? . Here we can compare the Saturn V of 1969 with the SLS future rocket and other actual rockets developments and futuristic programs: Many yeas Was told that EEUU will go this summer to Mars and will return after vacations . Finkeren Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Is it really a rocket though? Might just be, that the VVS is finally getting some decent size bombs. 3
RAY-EU Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 (edited) I think the biggest challenge radiation ‘bomb’ in this case is the Van Allen Belts ? . Edited April 12, 2019 by RAY-EU
216th_Peterla Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 That's the Soviet RDS-220, the Tsar Bomba. ?

Asgar Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 (edited) April 12th, "Day of the Cosmonauts" День космонавтики on this day in 1961 was the first space flight by Juri Gagarin The good things is, according to wikipedia it's not a work free day, so we should get a Dev Diary anyways ? JG7_X-Man Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Same here! I am quite furious about this because I find the inscription "CCCP" on a poorly modeled rocket very offensive for several reasons. #1 SInce I fly German, I would like to have the V2 in my hanger. #2 All joking aside, this is suppose to be a simulator, but if the developers are not taking this serious - can we classify is a simple child's game now? 1 2

If you have a simple child's mentality then yes, you can. 1 3

Retnek Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Child's game? You're absolutely wrong! This rocket was a kind of matryoshka doll with a RS-132 rocket in it - finally. Well placed propaganda manoeuvre by Father Stalin himself (unconfirmed)! Any Russian immediately understood the symbol behind it. One fine day the already powerful RS-132 will be grown up. So the working class will fire such enormously huge rockets against it's enemies!
GSP_Hund Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 (edited) It is odd seeing that thing right in front of the aircraft. Edited April 14, 2019 by GSP_Hund

JUSTPLANECRAZY Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Yes that thing does look out of place messing up my hangar, but then i looked at it again and thought if i could only get it hitched under my spitfire wing i could get my revenge on that ruddy train that shot me down.? 1 1
JonRedcorn Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I can't understand how this funny little easter egg is ruining anyones enjoyment of the game. Are people really spending time staring at the main menu? 2
DragonDaddy Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I like it. I think the developers are checking to see if we are paying attention.
StaB/Tomio_VR*** Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 This rocket was put on April 12th to remind Gagarin flight on April 12th of 1961, isn't it obvious ?

JUSTPLANECRAZY Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Sorry guys i didnt realise having a sense of humour had been outlawed. 2
Beazil Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 This is the first thread on this I've seen, not the third, but I found myself wondering about it nonetheless. I thought it was pretty cool to see that in VR. Nice little surprise. 1

69th_Mobile_BBQ Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 The Yuri Gagarin flight is one of the most significant achievements in Human history. It's also an achievement that was accomplished by a Russian team. It is also an achievement that was reached in the field of Aerospace science. IL-2 is a game made by Russians, and is about Aerospace - in relation to airplanes during the Second World War. The Devs apparently wanted to commemorate Mr. Gagarin's flight. To be honest, if I were on the dev. team, I'd be a good bit disappointed with the majority of responses on the forum to this. 1 6
332ndSandman_359 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 It was just a question. Not trying to upset anyone here. And no i honestly never heard of the man until this week. Pretty amazing stuff! Needless to say. Thanks for the answers. 1 1
Herne Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 I like these Easter eggs, can I request an xwing in my hangar for Starwars Day on May 4th 1
