Hi LuseKofte. When you say air gun ,do you mean like an air pistol or rifle collection.

I Had an old air rifle back in about 1975 ,cannot remember who the maker was, It was Italian.

Also Had an two old Webley's air pistols, one had like a pressed steel flat lever over the top of a short barrel which fliped up when you cocked it, the other had a long tubular lever you put your pellet in the end ??

Collecting stuff can be a curse, I remember when I used to fly R/C aircraft I amassed about 15 planes at one time ,I had to fix them to my ceiling In the end lol.

Good luck with the collecting.

That webley got me going

This is a Senior. I will get it totally restored since it is postwar. Prewar will keep its patina

I am looking for a Junior and Mark 1 prewar. I quit now. This topic is too cool to be hijacked

Nice!  I’ve never had any interest in guns but air powered ones seem different somehow.

I'm surprised you're allowed to send air guns via the mail; in the UK it is no-longer allowed.   About two years ago I had to buy an air pistol for pest suppression, which required a one and a half hour drive to get to a dealer stocking the model I wanted.

Of course it isn't. They won't be happy until all you have is a blunt stick...if you're lucky.

You probably won't be able to send those through the mail either before long.

Air guns are good fun...been a while since I've had one but I've thought about it recently.

I have other pew pews that scratch the itch...but air guns have their place.

The one's I was looking at however are nearly as loud as a .22.

I have fond memories of my Benjamin .22 cal pellet rifle as well as a pistol.

Had lots of fun with airguns when I was younger, shooting empty snail shells with my brothers to see who was the best marksman, fond memories

Memories......................

Back in the day the local rats learnt to fear my air rifle, wish I was as good a shot in IL2 :(

Also discovered that chook pellet food was the ideal size for using as replacement ammo for lead pellets when you wanted to simulate the buckshot effect.

I never had a interest in any weapon not made for hunting. And those are tools . Like a hammer. But these vintage airpistols are well made. Really well made. And it got me ticking.

There are many ways of shipping. Up to cal .177/4,5 mm you only need to be over 18 years old to get it. Over that calibre you need a reason and Police acceptance.

I am a registered hunter and can buy any calibre as long as it is a Rifle. I can no longer buy a handgun. Latter is in my mind useless. I a fortunate enough having no need for armed protection.

Before I owned handguns. It was a constant hassle to keep them legally stored. Today I have no weapons. Planning to buy a shotgun for this years hunting season if time allowe

I get this coming its from 1931 and older latter is smallest spring-loaded ever made. It went for 710€ so I ended finding one in UK for 160£.

One need to check prices. Or you pay too much. Latter is also so rear that it is hard to get

I've always been more interested in real guns, but a buddy of mine picked up an airgun for solving a pigeon problem at his lady's farm. Gotta admit, its a pretty neat little thing, and has a surprising amount of power behind it! I've been considering picking something up once I can spare the cash.

Mom always complains about the squirrels getting into her bird feeder..

It is the mechanics in the gun that interest me. I did sports hooting before and got into the airpistol genre that way. It was guns in 2000$ range. With compressed co2 or air.

Now I am more interested in the mechanic driven guns. I shot so much in the past , so that is of lesser interest

A blunt stick? This is an outrage.

Next I suppose you'll suggest the people can be trusted with butter knives and similar assorted cutlery.

Got this today on my way to the island house. It is very early 1900 smallest spring-loaded air pistol there is.

Rare piece that went for over 700 € on a auctions I was participating in.

Found this for 160£ in UK and are in working order.

Valued high among collectors because they simple never on marked

Blimey that's tiny. Did it belong to a Victorian equivalent of 007? Or was it concealed beneath a lady's voluminous crinoline skirts?

Did you finally have the winning bid?

I've seen them both at Catawiki auction.

By the way, the Catawiki gun expert name is... Jeff Browning.

Nomen est omen.

Ha ha. It is so cool. But by your comments I better wash my hands

BTW. I might set them up for sale again.

I got these so cheap and there is none in Scandinavia.

Congrats!

Catawiki can be quite addictive.

I sold a few items there and purchased even more items.

At the moment I am expecting a parcel from Japan. It is on its way already. :)

There are many great antique auctions out there. Catawiki tend to get a bit pricy on some items
