sorting and grouping scripted campaigns

Is there any way to sort or group scripted campaigns?

I have a lot of them and each time I start IL2, they seem to be presented in random order.

Nobody knows? How do you do when you have tens of scripted campaigns and that you need to find one of these campaigns? 
they don’t even stay in the same order after each start!

It's not that no one knows, you just can't change it. Yes, they are randomly ordered and you just have to scroll down and look for the one you want. 

 

Life is like that sometimes, you actually have to do things.

OK I understand this is the current situation.

Nevertheless, I wish the developers could add at least some filtering option, or grouping by plane flyable in the campaign, as DCS does. I'll check how I can officially post this kind of enhancement request.

If anybody is interested, I worked around this unfortunate limitation of the "scripted campaign" screen.

I copied most of my campaigns to the Missions folder. 

On the Missions screen, you can use folders and these folders are sorted alphabetically.

This is exactly what I was looking for. The only drawback is that it's no longer a campaign with automatic progression of the missions. You have to pick each mission in the campaign yourself.

 

How hard would it be for the development team to add the same sorting capability to Scripted Campaigns, since they already did it for Missions?

To sort the campaigns, you need to modify the campaign info.txt file.

The first line of the file "Order" you change the 1 for the number that you want it to appear in.

Only unofficial campaigns can be modified.
