Mosquito bomber

Any chance, however small, of the dev team considering Mosquito bomber variants? It would be nice to fly a bomber that stood more than an iota of a chance on its own in daylight! A BXVI would be nice!!

I wholeheartedly support this notion...

Yes. I brought this up several times. A level bomber that have a chance escaping sertain death. Like all big or heavy planes down low meet.

It is the perfect chance. I can forgive this mistake if a flying B 26 came along

The mozzie relied on it's speed in daylight, not to outrun the enemy, but to get to where it was going before the enemy could react by scrambling fighters and plotting an intercept.

It's faster than the defence network, not faster than interceptors.

Given that targets are generally already covered by enemy fighters in multiplayer, a mozzie bomber is unlikely to be more safe than an A-20.

In single player, it will only be safe if the mission designer makes sure you aren't intercepted.

Once intercepted, it can't out run most opposition fighters, it can't out turn them, and it has no gunners. It's a sitting duck.

Well. My theory is it will be safer if it is at altitude. So if fighters are 3k below you get a fighting chance. Attack version is just as much a death trap as anything else.

People will just fly higher to intercept it.

Yes I know. But my survival rate is better at 5k than down low. My efficiency is however not that great up high.

But all planes for BON is attackers except for maybe Arado who they claim to have bomb aim . If you fly allied. LW will be down low. Because they know there is where fat targets is

That's true, but it's something that is true for all bombers. A bomber mozzie would bring nothing new in the meta there.

Well. Not really. But it is a big difference.

I do much more to survive in a JU 88 at altitude than I do in a HE 111

I am well aware it is a possibility of placebo effect, or my confidence make me perform better in a JU 88.

I think being offered a faster level bomber on allied side. Will make opposing fighters to choose altitude and spread out.

It do bring a new thing.

They won't expect everything coming low

Make sure to tell the devs not to forget about this one!

As has been said many times before, the single player portion of flyers is larger than MP. As such, I think a bomber version of the Mosquito would be a tremendous addition to the game and one I'd be amazed if we didn't see it added down the road. Given a coop mission where the target might not be known, it would do exactly what it did in RL. Get in, get out.

Bombing Mossie is an obviousness! How it could be different ?

BON carreer is supposed to be from april to august 1944.

But imagine a campaign from 42-43, bombing is thé most part of the Allieds’ action in France
