baevans Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 As above. Couldn’t resist flash sale $100 off. Will I need to be involved with Steam VR at all? Start up procedure guidance in this situation would be appreciated. Basically Flying Circus interest.
kissTheSky Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 I believe at a minimum you’d have to have SteamVR installed. Once that’s done, you should be able to start SteamVR and then Il-2/FC
dburne Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 You will also need Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR for the Reverb.
firdimigdi Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 You don't need to have Steam running, only SteamVR. I plug in the HMD's power, put it to my face so it starts tracking, then start SteamVR and then Il2.
DouglasCorgi Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Is it possible to play the non-Steam Flying Circus volumes (from the IL2 Store) in SteamVR without Battle of Stalingrad (which is required by Steam in order to play the other modules)? I understand that the accounts can be linked and content moved to Steam that way, but do you need to buy Battle of Stalingrad to be able to use them? - or is SteamVR free from the Steam library requirements?
firdimigdi Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Not sure if this answers your question but you can run SteamVR without having Steam active. In fact I never load Steam when playing IL2 in VR.
TEShaw Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Corgi, You've probably already discovered that you can run Flying Corps with Steam VR as the only other requirement. No other Steam or IL-2 is necessary. regards
