STUTTERS ON THE GAMES ESPECIALLY ON THE RHENANIE MAP

Hello, I have never solved the problem, I have freezes and collisions and drops on the games in particular on the Rhineland map even if I must have the same thing on the other maps but less visible because it is less loaded ! good start from the beginning: why when launching the game the bar stops, a flash of the screen and after that resumes? why the text. log returns errors? why above the buildings near a big city there are freezes joined together ... etc ... drops ....? why are there mini sound freeze during radio communications? why is it that these malfunctions are impossible to remove despite an up-to-date windows and without any problem, up-to-date drivers? all the other applications and games installed on my pc work optimally without any problems. can you explain it to me? do you have one or more solutions to definitively solve these problems? I don't have an app that turns a stain background. no hardware or software problem. my machine is in perfect condition. no double screen, no VR .... etc ...... my pc is largely in the configuration recommended on your site. the installation is made according to your recommendations. your game is unstable or unfinished. when do you expect to finish it and make this game run smoothly? Can you tell me how to set this game and give me the way to do it since you at the test and development level at home do not encounter any problems? I'm not the only one in this case, Best regards thank you

Hello, no answers and effective solutions proposed?

hi Pete, sounds you indeed have a problem on your machine (maybe drivers or VC++ versions, this sort of thing, if you know what I mean). I'm not part of the dev team, but if you have error logs, why don't you attach them to a support ticket, and tell them what hardware do you have? CPU, GPU, memory, disk (size/model), gfx driver version, etc? It's hard for someone else figure out what is happening on your end without such information.

Also, there's a lot of people (majority) that don't experiment your problems, so it is hardly a game's problem - my bet is that it is a configuration/conflict problem, like in 99% of time. These problems are sneaky, the fact that all other games don't show a problem isn't a guarantee that your machine is pristine, it is just that, most probably, they don't use the same files/resources that IL-2 needs.

I feel you, and I've been in your situation on some other games, so (not knowing your hardware specs) I would suggest to trim/defragment your disk and put all game settings on low and start from there. Providing your hardware is enough to run the game, if the game stutters with low settings, then there's some conflict (driver versions, peripherals, utilities running at the same time, etc). If not, then you can start to (slowly) up the settings until you start to see problems

Audio drivers are notoriously famous to cause stutters sometimes. Are yours up to date as well?

This is what occurs to me right now. Just trying to help, but the best move is indeed to provide more info about your system, so others can join and help too.

Hi,
well, my drivers are up to date and downloaded from the manufacturer's sites, so I don't have any problems.
you say that there are audio problems, but my role is to verify if my audio driver is up to date and if there is no problem on the "dxdiag" utility and it is the case.
I have no pilots who generate conflicts
it is not for me to ensure the compatibility of the audio / video chipsets of the market with the games, it is up to the developer to do it, it is their job, I buy this game, I install it, I play,
i have a rtx3090, 9900k, ssdm2, 32gb ddr4.
so that should be correct.
I am not a developer either.
they only say one thing that it's the PCs that malfunction and not their games.

thank you

Well, to my standards, this is a beefy computer. I'm still on a 3570K @4.3Ghz, 16 RAM, GTX1080... and my game runs steadily at 60 fps, no stuttering at all, butter smooth (I capped it at 60 because I use TrackIR). So, if it were something with the game's engine, my machine would get far worse stutters as well, sure. Don't get me wrong, I did get stutters with IL-2 few times in the past, but nowadays it is smooth.
One more thing that comes to my mind re-reading your post is that you observe stutters over detailed terrain and sometimes with sounds... maybe (just maybe) this can have something to do with hardware interrupts. Without going too technical, I would suggest try to put your gfx and/or sound drivers in MSI mode.

More info here: Windows: Line-Based vs. Message Signaled-Based Interrupts. MSI tool. | guru3D Forums

Hope it helps.
Cheers.

1. Have you tried running some PC Benchmark tools i.e. Peformance test by Passmark or UserBenchMark?

They can help isolate issues if you get a low score for a component (i.e. CPU, GPU, Memory etc.) against other computers that run the same hardware components.

2. I used to get occasional pauses/ stuttering when I had MSI Afterburner running in the background. Antivirus software can also sometime interfere with programs but I have not, personally, come across that issue with IL2.

3. You do not state what resolution or frequency you are running your PC monitor at but based on your PC specs you should be able to drive a high resolution screen

4. Have you enabled MSAA antialiasing in your IL2 Graphics Settings? That can really knock performance if you have MSAA x 4 or MSAA x 8.  FSAA has a lesser impact but can still slow down, on screen, refresh rates
