Flyhighzz Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Hi can someone replace all the German voices to Italian?
ZachariasX Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Italian radio? They‘d be talking about coffee and food all day long. Ground crews and their moms would tune in as well and join the conversation. 4 2
AEthelraedUnraed Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) Well, it's possible, but you'd have to find at least 5 to 10 Italians willing to record some 225 tracks each, someone to edit all those tracks and last but not least, someone to coordinate everything and to come up with some sentences to use all those 225 phrases in a natural-sounding way. But it is certainly possible. Edited July 10, 2021 by AEthelraedUnraed
No105_Swoose Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 The original IL-2: 1946 had Italian language recordings as well as French, Romanian, Hungarian, and Polish IIRC. Would be nice to have Romanian in Great Battles when we get the IAR-80 1

Nobody would notice the difference.
ITAF_Airone1989 Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 "Quando è pronta la pizza?" should be good too 1

I think he doesn' t fully appreciate what he is asking about. When the mod is done ....well..he would start to ask questions about why now the german squadrons are speaking italian too ? I was half the way extracting the italian voices from Cliffs of dover Blitz - it is a similar system and many sentences could probably be recreated form that....but then I realized that after all this work the only result will be people complaining about germans speaking italian. actually our last discussion about modifications and russian voices in all planes gave me hope it could be done that only italian squadron would have italian voices, but then you correctly advised me, that the files can be locked and that was it...I stopped the italian voices attempt. Well, Italy already exists as a country so I think it might just work in this case. At least a part of the config seems to be in luascripts\soundengine.cfg, I'm not sure if that file is locked or not.
Startrek66 Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 I can't tell if it's a good choice. First, the Italian pilots on the Macchi C200 or Macchi C202, preferred not to communicate with the radio due to the poor quality of the audio, so only gestures. For this reason it would not be realistic to put the Italian voices. In any case, I participated together with other Italians in the recording of the sentences for the communications inserted in Tobruk .... 1
