Dear Friends,

 

Today we have a very straightforward Dev. Diary for you. We’d like to show you 4 aircraft that we have under development. Two from the Great War and two from WW2.

 

First, we have the Spad VII.C1 which is under development by our partners at Ugra Media for Flying Circus Vol. II. She’s coming along nicely.

Given Jason personal interest in the B-26 I really hope so. Will be a great addition to Normandy/Bodenplatte and finally some additional medium bomber for the allied side.

 

The news of fuel tanks coming to the 109s first is great too. We'll be able to finally play some careers in the Rhine campaign that were based too far away from the action to be flown only with internal fuel

Yes, those are rocket assist take off units with drop chutes

Oh, beautiful. But hell, if it's Jason's favorite machine. Plus, his grandfather flew it over Europe. Damn it, can't the B-26 just be flyable?
The Allied side is just missing a medium bomber. Like water, like air, like bread to a pilgrim in the desert!

I think, like with the B-25, it'll be a matter of finding people who can build it so keep your fingers crossed.

Maybe one day we'll get one or both of them in game.

The B-26 over western Europe is missing for the USAAF. Very.

The B-25s were flown there by the British, mostly. For the USAAF, it's a matter of fighting in Italy. And it was also delivered to the USSR!

I'm interested in what will be available for the DH.4 as well. From what I've read, it ended up using a bunch of different engines through it's service, at least in part because the RR Eagle VIII that they wanted for it was always in such short supply. 

 

And, as FC grows, I bet the US Liberty version would make an interesting Collector's plane. The US builders swapped the pilot and the fuel tank, and used the 400 HP Liberty V-12 engine. It was a heavier engine than the Eagle, but the better power gave it good performance.

Very nice for the Marauder and the Mosquito flyable, all twin engine planes. But Isn't there first the B25 to be made flyable?

The B-26 model looks great. It will be an excellent addition to the sim and add many options for mission builders. Looking forward to doing some escort missions in my Mustang.

B-26 in New Guinea, 1943.

The Silver Fleet. I first read about their story in a 1977 issue of Air Classics magazine. Pretty daring to fly in NMF in early spring 1942 PTO. The B-26 looks great in clean aluminum all the same.

I’m hoping for some clear vision panels as in that photograph posted earlier. If we have the same modifications as in Rise of Flight then there is going to be the option for adding two Lewis guns on the upper wing (as on our Bristol) which as far as I’m aware was only used for anti-zeppelin work? The clear vision panels do not seem to be so rare in comparison.

 

What ever we get on her she looks bloody well gorgeous. And am very much looking forward to the updates where this and the Sopwith Triplane are released.

Good to see WIP images of the B-26 ? Last game I know of which had a flyable B-26 was CFS3. That's the main reason why I sometimes come back to it. By the way, which model are we getting B-26C, B-26G.
