Enceladus828 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 For me, it was Ship Simulator Extremes. I was a big fan of the VSTEP Ship Simulators back in the day, especially Ship Simulator 2008. After learning in 2013 of Ship Sim Extremes and the many new features, I decided to get it. However, I wouldn't get it as the Mission Editor is incredibly complicated, even with the most simplest of things such as picking up and dropping off people and containers. The ME is more suitable for people who are coders such as the developers, not those who just want to play the game. I had other dislikes with the game and it was a mixed-bag for me. The other boxed game I got before that was in the summer of 2012 and that was Silent Hunter 4. 1
unlikely_spider Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Huh, cool question. Maybe X-Plane 11? I've been buying games on Steam since Half Life 2 whenever that came out, so I was partly responsible for the lack of PC games in stores for a long time ? I do still have a DVD drive in my gaming PC for some reason though. It hasn't been used in a long time.
BladeMeister Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 BOB II Wings of Victory Special Addition. It is still waiting to be installed and flown by me. S!Blade<><

BeastyBaiter Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Skyrim 2011, I only grabbed it to reduce the download time, but that didn't work out as the patch to update the disk version was bigger than the entire install off the disk.? What's funny is my brother in law and nephew mostly play console games, and those still use disks almost exclusively. It's always struck me as super weird, it's like someone saying "let's watch a movie" and then pulling out a VHS tape.

Highly recommend the 'Despecialised Editions' - available from websites with a skull & crossbones logo if you know what I mean. BEAUTIFUL restorations. SW has never looked better.
