Controllers are selected in game, but dont work when on plane.

I assign some controllers in game, the game recognizes them when I press them or move the axis.

Then when I go to play the game, and I move the controllers they do nothing.

Is there a way to fix this?

Is it just some of the controls (e.g. elevator does not work but ailerons do)?

 

If you assign the controls to something else, do they work (e.g. assign the throttle to flaps)?

Yes, I assigned radiator axis to aileron axis and it worked when I moved the controller.

You mention radiator axis; is it possible that your realism settings are overriding complex engine management? Check out your realism settings.
