Il-2M with an interesting arrow emblem on both the sides of the fuselage, probably of the 800 ShAP during the battle of Kursk. The unit became 144th Gv.ShAP on 15-2.1944.

 

The photos were taken in Belgorod in July 1943.

Impressive as always! You really managed to capture the look of the worn down matt paint around the edges of the panels. Looks just like the worn out paint on a lot of the old ass deuce and a half trucks we still had kicking around in the beginning of Iraq 2.
