I'm using the TM Warthog, and have the pitch trim mapped to the stablizer control setting, and it's working just fine to manage the pitch/trim on the Stuka and 109.

But for the life of me, I can't get the roll trim to work.  I've mapped my Warthog trim switch to manage the roll trim control setting in BoS. But no joy.  I can't get the roll trim to work...    sure would help to have function, especially with a Stuka using the PK37's...  :-)

would appreciate any info to help out.

thx,

at least the 109 has only elevator trim - no rudder and aileron , like the real one.

The Ju87..........cant remember if the real one had aileron trim, i guess soon someone will post it here

BoS only models trim where it is historically accurate. The Bf 109 only had the movable stabiliser. The Stuka had elevator and rudder trim.

I managed to take out a battery of artillery, with my PK37's.  All 4 guns, and got the last one with my last 37mm round.

But I had to give a bit of right aileron coming in, and it can be a bit fatiguing without have things trimmed up a bit.  Especially for a Warthog joystick.  Hopefully there is a mapping for the German planes, (roll wise).

thanks for the info.  I can't seem to get the rudder trim to work with my Warthog "trim" switch.  I've tinkered a bit, but still no joy.   Hopefully a TM Warthog owner who's got it figured out will post.

thx.

As far as I know none of the trims has been modelled yet into the game, will come later.

No all trims which were historically present on aircraft are there now

Dak, with your help, I was able to get the pitch trim to work, (mapping to the stablizer control). Unfortunately, I can't get the roll trim to work, after mapping it to my joystick. what are you using?

Yup - working trims (where historically accurate) were added to all aircraft weeks ago. And the Stuka rudder (yaw) trim works - I've just tested it. There is no aileron (roll) trim on the Stuka.

Rudder trim works fine for me on the 109 & Stuka. ok, if there's no aileron trim on the Stuka, (or 109), then I'll just learn to fly the Stuka with a little aileron when ground strafing...

thanks for the info.

1st rule - before set trim, know what trim each plane have: ;)

Bf 109 - Stabilizer trim (can by set in keys/button, axis and mouse scroll wheel).

Ju 87 - Elevator (left side), rudder. (Can be by set only in keys/button - same for the rest of list).

il-2 Sturmovik - elevator.

LaGG-3 - Elevator, rudder, aileron.

Pe-2 - Elevator, rudder, aileron (right side).

Yak-1 - Elevator.

La5 - Elevator, rudder, aileron

Fw 190 - Elevator

He 111 - Elevator, rudder, aileron

As the old Chinese man say: "Sometimes the bug is behind the keyboard".

thanks Sokol1, I appreciate the post. I made the bad assumption that most aircraft had full trim capabilities. I learn a new thing, everyday.

That list should be stickied somewhere until the manual comes out :) never can find it to send someone to refer to it

Flying the Stuka, I trim it out pitch wise. Spot my target, line up, and use a little right rudder to counter this bird's tendency to tip and drift to the left. Managed to put 1/2 dozen PK 37 rounds into the locomotive, and watched it explode! cool beans!!!

Was trying only the elevator trim on the Bf109 and it was not working.

Now I understand the 109 does not have elevator trim, but only stabilizor trim if I am right?

Anyway, it would be great if we could at least set the trim tabs before taking off, maybe on aircraft setup, for those which had ground adjustable trim tabs.

The pilots could set them according to the type of  mission.
