Although it’s 30 mph faster than the Ju-87D and outperforms contemporary fighters once free of its 500kg bombload, it will not be selected for production in part due to its lack of a tail gunner. The Regia Aeronautica will focus on the Reggiane 2001 and 2002 series of fighter bombers instead."
