javelina Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 Needing a little help. I'd like to try my IL-2 with a CRM setting of 80%. I've set SteamVR settings for video to "per application video settings", and I have IL-2 added into my non Steam game, and accessible via VR. I've set the CRM to 80%, but when I'm in game fpsVR shows my SteamSS at 100%. (I have motion smoothing "force always-on". These are similar settings I have in DCS, I've no issue with toggling the CRM to any % with it.
dburne Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 What is CRM? Note default Steam VR SS for the G2 is like 150% - or at least was last time I used a G2.
javelina Posted July 2, 2021 Author Posted July 2, 2021 Hi Don, in SteamVR, when I go into manage video settings for IL-2, it has a "Custom Resolution Multiplier". In DCS, when I make changes to the CRM percentage, I see the same percentage reflected in fpsVR. So in DCS if I have CRM at 80%, I see SteamSS at 80% in fpsVR. I was just wanting to see if there was any FPS effect in IL-2, if I changed the SteamVR setting from 100% to 80%. But right now, even with CRM set at 80%, when I'm in game, I still see SteamSS at 100% for IL-2.

Ok keep in mind the per game SS setting is a multiplier of whatever your general SS resolution setting is.
javelina Posted July 2, 2021 Author Posted July 2, 2021 (edited) I found why I wasn't seeing the changes. In SteamVR -> Developer, My Current OpenXR Runtime was set to WMR. When I reset it to SteamVR, I can see my CRM changes. Now I'll be tweaking a little. thanks for the pings Don! Maybe the OpenXR Runtime changed to WMR, when I was tooling around in MSFS2020? -Jav Edited July 2, 2021 by javelina

(Highly unlikely!)
